San Diego’s housing market continued to show a mix of conditions in August. Buyers have more room to negotiate on homes that have been sitting on the market, while well-priced, move-in-ready homes in desirable neighborhoods can still attract multiple offers and sell quickly. Homes are generally selling close to their asking prices, but the gap between the properties that generate competition and those that require price adjustments is becoming more noticeable. For buyers, this creates more opportunities to negotiate, while sellers need to be strategic about pricing and presentation from the start.
